Is it obtrusive of uncomfortable?
No.
Cell Shield is comprised of two pieces. The first is a small absorbing
shield that fits seamlessly over the earpiece of any cell phone. It
allows sound to pass freely but helps absorb the radiation. The
second is a small radiation blocking "button" that gets
applied to the top of phone near the antenna, which helps block
incidental radiation that may enter the brain through the skull.
Does radiation from my phone really cause health
problems?
The
debate is still ongoing. Although there is not definitive proof, there has been overwhelming evidence of
the potential that cell phones may cause serious health problems.
These possible health problems include brain tumors, headaches, reduced response times and a rare
form of leukemia. This evidence has been comprised from numerous
studies performed worldwide.
How could such a simple solution protect me from
harmful radiation and why hasn't cell phone manufacturers installed
the technology into their new phones?
The
technology is not installed by the cell phone manufacturers due to the
numerous law suits that are currently awaiting trial. The inclusion
of a radiation absorber into a cell phone, would be considered by
many, as an admission by the manufacturers that cell phones are
harmful. An admission that could cost the industry millions of
dollars, if not more, just in pending and future court cases. Cell
phone manufacturers are reluctant to admit that there is any danger
posed by the use of cell phones. The cell phone industry even went as
far as too fire the doctor, Dr.
George Carlo (author of the book
"Cell Phones, Invisible Dangers In The Wireless Age"), who
they'd been employing for many years to study whether or not any
dangers may exist. Originally hired to study whether or not cell
phones may cause adverse health affects, Dr. Carlo was terminated once
his testing came to the conclusion (after years of intense research
& testing) that indeed there could be much cause for concern.
Does Cell Shield wear out over time?
No.
Cell Shield lasts for the lifetime of your phone and requires no
maintenance.
Can I remove it from one phone and apply it to a
different phone?
No.
Cell Shield can only be applied to one phone because of the backing
which attaches it to the phone.
Is Cell Shield effective on common household
cordless phones?
At
the present time there is no immediate concern about the safety of
these phones, although some people have chosen not to take the risk. A
cordless phone used at the home does not transmit waves as powerful as
a cell phone which can transmit waves strong enough to travel 50
miles. However, as common household cordless phones become more and
more powerful (work at longer distances) it may be of a concern in the
future.
How do cell phones work and why do they create
harmful radiation?
Cell
phones do not send signals directly to satellites as many would think.
They transmit microwave signals to relay stations, or "cell
sites" which then bounce the signal up to the nearest satellite.
These relay station towers can be up to 50 miles away, so the signal must be
powerful enough to reach the relay station towers. Further, since
telephone communication is two-way, the signal being transmitted is
duplex, which means it is constantly transmitting microwave signals
even when the user is listening and not talking. This significantly
increases the time we are exposed to these waves.
How does Cell Shield differ from other products
claiming to absorb radiation?
Cell
Shield's "two-component absorption system" holds many US and
International Patents and comes
from 8 years of intensive scientific research and development in
cellular protection. Cell Shield is made of a ceramic composition that
absorbs electromagnetic radiation waves.
What happens to the radiation after the Cell
Shield absorbs it, where does it go?
Electromagnetic
waves are a form of energy. Physics tells us that energy never
disappears or goes away, it just changes its form. When the waves pass
into the cell shield they encounter resistance, which
converts the energy from electromagnetic waves into a small amount of
harmless heat. The amount of heat generated is minute, and cannot be
observed by human touch. So for all intensive purposes the waves are
dissipated and do not remain stored in the Cell Shield.
