The Portable Gas Detector is an easy-to-use, handheld device that identifies potentially hazardous leaks in pipes, fittings, valves, gas storage tanks, home appliance tanks and hot water heaters. Simply point the end of the unit at the area you want to test, and an LED indicator will flash yellow if low amounts of gas (1,200 ppm) are detected and red if high amounts (over 5,000 ppm) are detected. Can Detect propane, butane, acetylene and methane gas leaks. Emits alarm and sets off LED light indicator when presence of gas is detected. Portable, Laboratory-tested and no calibration required. Checks gas leaks in pipes, fittings, valves, gas storage tanks, home appliance tanks and hot water heaters. Made of urethane rubber; uses two double A batteries (not included). Three-light LED indicator flashes different colors when gas is detected.
